ARTIST BIO NO.5439144Rae Farine (b. 1989) is a Beacon, New York–based contemporary artist working in abstract painting. A graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art (BFA, Interdisciplinary Sculpture, 2012), Farine’s sculptural background is evident in their use of full-body gestures and playful textures. Working with bold color and layered patterns, their paintings are shaped by music and emotional experience. Each piece unfolds intuitively, guided by rhythm and feeling rather than preplanned structure. The work reflects a direct connection to spirituality and playfulness — two themes that have long been central to the artist’s life.
